For the opening
sequence I would like to make the genre of it thriller. The features of
this genre are that its purpose is to insert terror, panic, dread and
fear into the audience. In most thriller films there is a person or
persons, creature or event that the film is based around.
The films
of the same genre that would be my inspiration the Evil Dead,
Unfriended, Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream and Sorority Row. I chose
these 5 films as my inspiration because they all have one thing in
common which is that they involve teenagers as the main characters
which is the same as my story ideas.
The areas I may
want to film my opening sequence are in back lanes to create a closed
in atmosphere or a field where the character feels exposed and open
to anything bad happening. For actors I could use family members or
friends to be the scene.
