The text has drips on the bottom of the letters symbolising blood and the skull in the background suggests horror too. Also the background if all black and the text is a dull grey/beige. 

The text is half faded out and there is a barbed wire covered in blood entangled around the text. There is also a tear in-between the two words which also suggests that their main focus and genre of films is horror. 

The text is imprinted on the walls in a faded neon yellow. Its based in a eerie room with just a small light and the rest of the room is very dull and dark suggesting a very creepy/eeriness to the whole of it. This suggests that this company may be more set around                      people-being-possessed horror films as it also hasn't focused on the blood aspect. 

20. How To Write A Media Script

Fade In: The very first item on the first page should be these words. This is a starting point which shows the editing transition for how the film starts and should also be in capital letters. 

Scene Heading: A one line description of the location and time of day of a scene. It tells us whether it is inside or outside, where it is like a shop or school and should also be in capital letters. It is also known as a slugline. 

Action: The narrative description of the events of a scene. Written in the present tense. 


Transition: Film editing instructions.


Characters First Appearance: A description of the character - name should always be in capital letters.

Character: A characters name always appears above their dialogue.

Dialogue: Lines of speech for each character. This format is used anytime a character is heard speaking, even off-screen and voice-overs. 

28. Opening Treatment - The Stalker

Whilst investigating the death of a local sixth former, an sixth form student called Lucy Edgar uncovers a story about a supernatural stalker circulating throughout Hertfordshire killing off anyone in their path. 

As soon as anyone sees the figure , he or she has exactly 30 hours left to live.

Lucy gets a glimpse of the figure- but doesn't take any notice of  it, refusing to believe the superstition but erring on the side of caution too. 

But when Lucy notices her she's being followed by a shadow, she realises that the curse of the mysterious figure is true.

They include camera shots, camera angles & camera movement that will be used as well as other things like the length of the shot, the sound  and the lighting involved and what exactly will be in every scene.

17. The Purge Opening Sequence Analysis

The Purge

A title sequence is the opening introduction to a film giving us an idea of what may be in the film or give us any clues as to what may or may not happen.

Ingredient	Purpose
Production and Cast Credits	Telling us the companies, directors, actors etc. that are involved with the film.
Overview of the whole setting of the film.	Giving us a very brief overview of the theme and what may happen in the film. This particular one is showing us the whole house where the film is set. But it is showing it without giving away too much to the audience. For example this is set in the urban areas of the USA.
Genre	Giving us an idea of what the film is about and the kind of things that may happen
Mood or atmosphere	This adds to the genre in that we see whether the there is any conflict or anything significant between the characters.
Music	This also gives the audience a glimpse of the time period by the instruments and the tension in the film etc.
Title	The title adds to the theme as behind the text it has lines implying the CCTV feed from video cameras from the film.

The opening sequence to the film The Purge starts with a small part of the credit sequence of just the production companies with blank backgrounds. It then progresses to introduce the rest of the cast and crew over the top of the video feeds. 

The text transitions by fading in and out on each feed. The text is white and this could connote or suggest light, purity, good, innocence and purity which could mean this applies to a certain part or character in the film as the representation of white is the opposite to a horror film. With the camera shots it is purely video feed from CCTV camera for effect.

 The mood is created by pure non-diegetic sound which adds to the theme and atmosphere of the opening sequence. The music for this opening sequence contradicts what the audience are seeing. The music is slow, calm and is classic music but while this is playing in the background, the audience are seeing people being attacked and killed, buildings set on fire and countless other things. But this music adds to one thing which is that the music seems to be playing as if this attacking is normal and if you see the feeds, there is no police or anything to stop them therefore the music just supports the fact that the characters/people in the film find this normal aka they find this attacking normal as this is "the Purge".

 We do not see characters as such in this sequence but we do see people in the film but no one specifically. We see people being attacked in almost every feed, buildings on fire, people lying dead but there is always a certain amount of people in each feed like there is no one on their own unless they are the attacker. 

This opening sequence gives a very big insight into what we will see in the film and what the Purge actually is. This opening sequence makes the film very obvious to the audience and doesn't hold back any hints. The main objective here is that people are attacked legally and that all crime is legal  for a night only as on each feed it is the same date which also tells the audience that there is a reason why there is attacks. 

16. Evil Dead Opening Sequence Analysis

A title sequence is the opening introduction to a film giving us an idea of what may be in the film or give us any clues as to what may or may not happen.

Theme	Giving us a very brief overview of the theme and what is going to happen in the film. Without giving away too much to the audience.
Imagery	Giving us an insight as to what may happen. Example here there is a head cut open and blood coming out.
Genre	Giving us an idea of what the film is about and the kind of things that may happen
Mood or atmosphere	This adds to the genre in that we see whether the there is any conflict or anything significant between the characters.
Title	The title adds to the theme by having veins in the letters representing the amount of blood that will be shed in the film.
Music	This also gives the audience a glimpse of the time period by the instruments and the tension in the film etc.

 The opening title sequence for the film Evil Dead begins with the credit sequence introducing the audience to the director Fede Alvarez and the crew before introducing the cast to the audience. 

The transition used to introduce the text is that it comes up at the same time as the shot and fades out with the shot. The text is the colour red which matches the base of the film as it is referring to blood and during this open sequence there is a lot of blood shown, which could be a indication of whats to come. The colour red connotes blood and fire and in the opening there is both blood and fire in one part. 

The mood of the title sequence is created by the non-diegetic sound which adds to the atmosphere of the opening.The music builds up from the start, increasing the tension and mood.  The music in this opening sequence is haunting, intense, dramatic and spooky as almost like choir voices add to the terror of the film and it already spooks the audience before the film has even begun. 

Although we do not meet any of the characters in this opening, we can tell that some of them will die like we see a head being sawn open with a chainsaw and fingers cut off. There are many objects in this opening that could connect to the rest of the film like nails, a chainsaw, a knife, a lightbulb with blood in, chains and a crowbar. There are also other elements in this sequence that may connect with the rest of the movie like the blood dripping down some stairs, flesh being cut open, blood dripping through floorboards and there is a big focus on fire at the end of the opening. 

15. Crimson Peak Opening Sequence Analysis

The opening sequence for this film Crimson Peak starts with a credit sequence which introduces the director Guillermo Del Toro and the main characters played by Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Tom Hiddleston. It also introduces the additional cast, the writers, the producers, the executive producers, director of photography, production designer, film editor,  costume designer, music director etc. 

The transition of the text is that they fade in and out and it is presented in a white font in capital letters. The white connotes or suggests light, purity, good, innocence and purity which could mean this applies to a certain part or character in the film as the representation of white is the opposite to a horror film.  Also in the background of the text fading in are moths wings focused in on which suggests they play a big part in this film in that they have a meaning in the film. 

The mood of the title sequence is created by the non-diegetic sound which adds to the atmosphere of the opening. The music in this opening sequence is continuous as it is emotional,  intense, sorrowful, dramatic, terrifying and a haunting tune. The music gives the audience more of an idea of what to expect in the film and the music adds to the tension and mood of the film.

In this opening sequence the audience is not made aware of the characters yet. However we see that one of the characters has written a book in which the film is based on as the title of the book is tied in with the actual title of the film.  There are different objects in this opening sequence that can tie in with the rest of the film and what kind of characters we are going to see in the film. There are very old portraits along a wall of previous people which could connect to the characters pasts. Also in one part of the sequence the camera focuses on a specific ruby red ring and a set of keys which could play a part in the film. It also indicates the presence of ghosts in the film as the door is opened but not by a human hand as there is nothing there. Also the hankie covered in blood and the tea set seem significant but what is more intriguing is that more than once there was shown a moth pinned down by a pin used for sewing or knitting which seems quite significant for the film.
